1.Project Contracts Administrator

General:

The Project Contract Administrator is responsible for providing project related services in the discipline of contract management to a number of projects. He/she may, depending on project locality, contribute to all phases of a project from manufacture, delivery, erection and commissioning.

Responsibilities and reporting criteria:

  • The Project Contract Administrator reports to the Project Manager
  • He/she directs activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services
  • Key result areas include;
    • Ensuring contracts are appropriate and cover all aspects of the project scope;
    •  Suppliers and contractors cannot exploit the conditions of contract/sale
  • This will be achieved by;
    • Examining performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of material and equipment to ensure completeness and accuracy;
    • Preparing bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other documents that may be required.
    • Reviewing quotations from other companies for conformity to contract requirements and determining acceptable bids.
    • Negotiating contract with customer or tenderer.
    • Requesting or approving amendments to or extensions of contracts.
    • Advising the planning department of contractual rights and obligations.
    •  Compile data for preparing estimates.
  • In addition the Project Contract Administrator;
    • Must have the demonstrated ability to analyze and understand commercial conditions inall contracts, together with the ability to understand and interpret key elements of statutory legislation and regulations.
    •  Will be required as necessary to liaise with Company Lawyer, for clarification and direction about legal aspects and liabilities as liaison between company and subcontractors.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Zero contract related claims from contractors.
  • Completion of projects without the need for litigation.

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications in Engineering, Construction and or a Legal Degree
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business and/or engineering would be an asset;
  • Proficiency in English language written and verbally;
  • Thai Nationality
  • Project based – Johor, Malaysia

Experience

  • Experience as a Contracts Administrator, Project Engineer or Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry are essential.
  • Familiar with FIDIC contract or having international experience is preferred

2.Project Document Controller

General:

The Project Document Controller is responsible for ensuring that all documents and drawings are organized and archived appropriately. He or she will register and file all internal and external drawing requests, letters, inquiries, quotations, and all other documentation in a timely manner and provide administrative support to the department. He or she may, depending on project locality, contribute to all phases of a project from design, manufacture, delivery, erection and commissioning.

Responsibilities and reporting criteria:

  • The Document Controller reports to the Project Manager
  • Key result areas include;
    • Ensuring that documents are managed in an organized fashion;
    • Attending to internal and external drawing inquiries in a timely manner;
    • Answering all incoming calls and emails in an efficient, professional manner;
  • This will be achieved by;
    • Document management, including preparation of reports and other documents, distribution, filing and archiving of documents;
    • Maintain positive, professional relationships with all departments;
    • Handle internal and external drawing inquiries;
    • Issue drawings to external clients when requested;
    • Request drawings and drawing numbers as necessary;
    • Receive, log, track, file and monitor vendor documents;
    • Prepare equipment data books and assist in turnover of documents at the end of projects; and
    • Conduct additional tasks as directed by the document control manager or lead engineer.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Latest revision of drawings always available on request.
  • Email records always up to date and available on request.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (Thai and English);
  • Thai Nationality
  • Project based – Johor, Malaysia

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years document control experience, preferably in an engineering environment;

5.Project Cost Controller

 General:-

The Project Cost Controller is responsible for evaluating project costs and ensuring that they remain within budgetary limits. A cost controller also records business activities and prepares periodic financial statements that inform top management about project progress.  He/she may, depending on project locality, contribute to all phases of a project from estimating, manufacturedelivery, erection and commissioning.

Responsibilities and reporting criteria:-

  • The Cost Controller reports to the Project Manager
  • Key result areas include;
  • Monitoring the financial progress of a project
  •  Computing operating fixed and variable costs and comparing such costs to budgets.

 This will be achieved by;

  •   Comparing budget amounts to actual expenses. This is an accounting function that helps senior management adjust project costs while work is still in progress. This procedure is also called variance analysis.
  •  A cost controller typically reports periodic financial statements to a company's finance chief and ensures that accounting procedures and systems are adequate and functional.

 Key Performance Indicators

  •  Completion of project milestones within budget.

 Qualifications

  • A cost controller typically holds a degree in accounting, business or tax.
  • A cost controller also may hold a master's degree in a business field.
  • Postgraduate cost accounting (also called managerial accounting) degrees are common among cost controllers.
  •  A cost controller also may hold a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified management accountant (CMA) or a certified financial manager (CFM) designation. A state accounting board issues a CPA license; the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) administers the CMA and CFM designations.
  •  Proficiency in English language written and verbally;

    Experience

  •  This employee typically holds a four-year college degree in cost accounting, finance or tax
  •  Five (5) years experience at the level of Project Cost Controller;

 

6.Project Planner Scheduler

General:-

 

The Project Planner is responsible for providing project related services in the discipline of planning and scheduling to a number of projects.  He/she may, depending on project locality, contribute to all phases of a project from manufacturethroughdelivery, erection and commissioning.  The project planner/scheduler is tasked with project control activities such as schedule management and change management on the assigned projects. This position will monitor and report to senior engineers on project schedule performance through review and analysis of detailed schedule reporting.

 

 Responsibilities and reporting criteria:-

 

·         The Project Planner reports to the Project Manager

 

·         The purpose of the job is to provide a service to the Project Engineers

 

Key result areas include;

 

·         Maintaining routine schedules on a current basis;

·         Preparation of Earned value/performance reports

 

This will be achieved by;

 

·         Liaising with project management and contractors on matters relating to planning and scheduling;

·         Monitor schedule deviation for assigned disciplines or specialties and advise senior engineers for their consideration;

·         Participate in the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and development of schedules (including resource loading) for those WBS elements;

·         Participate in the project change management process related to scheduling.

 

In addition the Planner Scheduler would be expected to;

 

  • Demonstrate understanding of engineering execution and production business processes.
  • Have strong analytical, problem solving skills and an ability to disseminate non-discretionary information from discretionary information.

The Production Planner is responsible for providing factory related services in the discipline of planning and scheduling to a number of projects.  He/she may contribute to a project from manufactureto delivery.  The production planner/scheduler is tasked with factory control activities such as schedule management and change management on the assigned projects. This position will monitor and report to senior engineers and managers on factory schedule performance through review and analysis of detailed schedule reporting.

1.0  – Responsibilities and reporting criteria:-

 

1.1  The Production Planner reports to the Factory Manager

 

1.2  The purpose of the job is to provide a service to the Production Manager and Project Engineers

 

1.3  Key result areas include;
